Join the Fund Our Schools Virtual Town Hall on Feb 11
PSSP Toronto,
The Ford government’s attacks on publicly-funded education are not slowing down. Earlier this week, Paul Calandra announced the Ministry of Education is taking over the Peel District School Board – the second largest school board in the country – and putting the York Catholic District School Board on notice as well.
These continued attacks on publicly-funded education are coming at a time when educators, parents, and students are rightly outraged that Doug Ford has not only sidelined school trustees, but is throwing hundreds of thousands of dollars away on do-nothing “supervisors”, reducing critical supports and resources for students, and exerting more and more power over our children’s education.
This overreach cannot continue.
Have Your Voice Heard at the Fund Our Schools Town Hall
We have to push back. Join Fund Our Schools for a series of Town Halls to get your input on what publicly-funded schools should look like.
Come join the first one – fully virtual – on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 7:00PM. We want to engage members about what a fully funded holistic system would look like and feel like – ahead of the provincial and school board budget process.
We look forward to welcoming you to these upcoming events. Be sure to stay connected with Fund Our Schools and share the Town Hall on Facebook, X, and Instagram.
Together we will defend our children’s publicly-funded education.
